DIAB core materials used to Build Immediate Support Vessels (ISVs) of ONGC by Indian Boat Builder.

Caftway Engineers, a member of the SHM group of companies and one of the largest FRP boat building yards in India has successfully designed and built its first FRP boat, Immediate Support Vessel (ISV) for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC), using DIAB core materials, Divinycell H80 and H60.

Utilizing the knowledge of its skilled naval architects and marine engineers, Craftway has been using the latest technology, including CAD designs, to achieve an absolute precision in the assembly of its products. The state of the art construction work naturally demands materials of outstanding quality.Due to this fact Craftway Engineers has involved DIAB even before winning the tender from ONGC. Craftway has highly appreciated the company's local presence, its short lead times and excellent sales support in the region. Being in constant touch with the Craftway team, DIAB has been offering various services throughout the process of this first joint project, which would definitely not be the last. Craftway has already started using DIAB core materials in the construction of other of its hulls, such as the 12-15 meter patrol boats and the 15 meter ambulance boats, paving the way for more FRP vessels made in India. Sophisticated composite crafts were previously imported from Europe or the U.S.A., but can now be constructed at Craftway's state of the art boat-building yard, which is one of the largest in India.

The Immediate Support Vessels (ISVs) being built by Craftway Engineers for the ONGC is primarily designed for use in offshore development areas. They are light surface vessels capable of operating in sea state 6 conditions, in opens seas as well as in coastal waters.  The crafts reach a speed of 40 knots and have a compliment of 20 people.

Some of the major customers of Craftway Engineers include ONGC(Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited), the Indian Navy, Maharashtra Maritime Board, Maharashtra Police and all the major port authorities of India.
